To assist with Patient Intake/Site Recruiter Assistant/General Clerk duties

for Clinical Research Protocols. The individual will provide support functions for Clinical Research Coordinator’s, the Regulatory Department, and Investigators. The Patient Intake/Site Recruiter Assistant/General Clerk will be a member of TTS Research and will work collaboratively with other members of the research department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Medical background
Ability to work well independently and work flexible hours.

Strong medical terminology
Knowledge and experience with utilizing word processing

Excellent communication skills

Ability to address patient patient’s contact during and after routine office hours.

REPORTS TO: The Company’s management team: TTS Research Medical Director, David Fuentes, M.D., Site Director Mary Jimenez, and CEO Andrew Talerico, Lead Coordinators, and to Dolores Cabral, Regulatory Department.

Patient Intake:

Greets Patients. Responsible for obtaining privileged medical information from the patient.

Enters data into the site system: Realtime.

Obtains height and weight.

Obtains vital signs according to the research standards.

Requests medical records from the patient according to HIPPA. Maintains and updates RealTime activities as required.

Organizes and maintains records as required for recruitment for all clinical research trials.

Contacts the patient during and after routine office hours for study related needs.

Establishes a working relationship with the Clinical Research staff members.

Site Recruiter Assistant:

Responsible for research recruiting subjects for all current enrolling studies. This includes, but is not limited to, phone screening, patient chart review, internet, web based, radio, television, newspaper, and other printed advertising. Provides a broad range of services in support of the business of TTS Research.

Contacts the patient during and after routine office hours for study related needs.

Responsible for developing phone-screening forms per protocol inclusion specifics.

Develops and implements a comprehensive screening plan.

Provides appropriate Company reports for Research screening activities.

Performs daily chart review on scheduled patients from the research database to find potential subjects (prior to patients being seen). Will be on-call to speak with potential subjects and schedule appointments for screening visits.

Participates in health fairs or as directed activities to promote education regarding research protocols and recruit’s subjects. Responsible for ordering and obtaining all literature, supplies, and equipment needed for health expos or other off-site recruitment activities.

Completes all paperwork associated with recruitment.

Maintains and updates RealTime activities as required.

Organizes and maintains all records required for recruitment for all clinical research studies.

Attends Clinical Research startup meetings when required.

Establishes a working relationship with the Clinical Research Coordinator’s.

Assists site coordinators with monitoring activities involving recruitment activities.

Demonstrates the ability to assume a high level of individual responsibility, to handle multiple projects and responsibilities at the same time and to work collaboratively in a nonhierarchical department structure.

Maintains adequate supplies and a contact to resupply stock when necessary.

Promotes adherence to the Company’s policies and procedures in conjunction with

Company management.

Maintains OSHA and HIPPA standards on a daily basis. Performs periodic privacy risk assessments.

OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED:

The occupant of this position is required to follow any other job-related instructions and perform any other duties as requested by the Site Director, Managing Partner, and/or Chief of Operations. Will assist the Regulatory Manager on an as needed basis with coping, filing, and archiving as directed.

The employee additionally has the responsibility of answering phones, maintaining files, filing, updating data, and calling prescription orders as directed by the physicians. Most importantly, it is the staff member’s responsibility to project and maintain a positive attitude toward all patients and fellow co- workers.
