This position represents a Paid Internship opportunity that may lead to a Permanent Full-Time position.
Duties and responsibilities:
Dress code: Scrubs of any kind, use rubber sole sneakers for safety.
Teacher will comply with all Federal and State License Childcare requirements,
Teacher/staff will show good judgement, patience, self-control, and competency when you are in the presence of the children, parents, and guardian.
Teachers/staff will treat each child with respect, courtesy, attention, and patience. You are the teacher/staff, and you are responsible for the growth and development of each child, while in your care at this facility.
Lesson Plans: Monthly lesson plans are to be posted at the end of each month or the beginning of the month. Teachers/staff will ensure that all completed lessons are taken home on a weekly basis.
Teachers/staff are responsible for communicating to the director when special props are need for the monthly lesson plans.
Supervision: Teacher/staff are to know each child by name, ensure that child teacher/staff ratio is compliant and always supervised indoors and outdoors.
Health and safety: Teacher/staff are responsible for health checkups conducted upon arrival to class.
Teachers/staff are to promote health-care habits by ensuring that all children wash their hands, after toileting, and before breakfast/lunch/snack. All accident injury report should be immediately reported to the direct/assist director followed by accident injury note to the parent or guardian,
Janitorial duties: Tables, chairs, and hard surfaces, will be sanitized by the 4-step process sanitation. Floors will be swept and moped and carpet will be vacuumed. Trash will be discarded twice a day: midday and at the end of the work shift.
Meals: Teacher/staff will inform the cook of the number of children in attendance, for serving accuracy of food components.
