River City Produce is currently looking for a Refrigeration Service Technician to assist our facility maintenance team members. Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Refrigeration Service Technician to add to our growing team. In this position, it will be your job to look after our refrigeration units. The Refrigeration Service Technician is responsible for maintaining all refrigeration systems in various buildings owned and operated by River City Produce. As a provider of fresh produce to various clients throughout the state of Texas, we will require a Technician who can take on multiple climate control systems, test and observe equipment, understand the repair and maintenance needs of these systems, and require little to no supervision. Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Inspect and maintain all refrigeration systems owned by River City Produce. • Perform preventative maintenance checks on all major mechanical equipment, diagnoses equipment malfunctions and operating efficiency of mechanical equipment. • Install and replace all types of pumps or refrigeration equipment, pneumatic valves, electric valves, heat transfer equipment, ventilation, and air distribution equipment according to prints, specifications, diagrams, or other instructions. • Calibrate thermostats and ensure appropriate temperatures are maintained. • Keep all mechanical rooms clean, orderly, and organized. • Test pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks using electronic meters, pressure gauges or soap-and-water solution. • Order and secures materials for jobs as needed. • Test electrical circuits or components to determine necessary repairs. • Connect systems to refrigerants line sets, air ducts, and other components. • Repair or replace worn or defective parts. • Comply with all applicable standards, policies, or procedures, such as safety procedures or the maintenance of a clean work area. Job Physical Requirements: ? Must be able to stand and walk for duration of shift (approximately 7-10 hours) daily on concrete, wood, or vinyl surface. ? Must be able to walk up and down a flight of stairs as required by the job. ? Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. ? Must be able to stoop, squat, bend and/or twist to perform various job functions. ? Must be able to reach overhead, forward, back and down to perform various job functions.

1. Must be able to work around noise and/or vibration generated by the truck and other equipment.
2. Must be able to work around fumes, dust, gases and odors.
3. Must be able to work in cold warehouse environments (33°- 56°F) as required by the job.
4. Must be able to work in warm outdoor environment (up to 100°+ F) as required by the job.
5. Must be alert and able to identify a safety hazard and report it immediately or, if directed, take corrective measures to prevent the safety hazard.
Qualifications: • HVAC: 1 year (Preferred) • mechanical repair in food service industry: 1 year (Preferred) • electrical & plumbing: 1 year (Preferred) • EPA Refrigeration Certification (Required) • TX Driver's License (Required)
